Glass bead knitting, 30 x 19 cm, 2015
Pasolini's interest in Friulian language - and generally in oral culture - affects me personally. I speak my mother's tongue, which is not allowed (in Iran) to use in publishing or teaching. It is only for speaking. Pasolini saw consuming and unified culture as an end of diversity. All will become one and the same mass culture, which wipes out all shades. I have knitted his four early poetry book covers to remind all dying languages in the world.
