Removing Defences is the documentation of live act, where defensive hairs of the nettle are removed. Artists also recorded the sounds of the nettle during the operation in the same way like in their Garden of Invasive Alien Species. Video is questioning the idea of plants being mute and senseless beings without feelings. It also continues artists' metaphor plants as representatives of refugees and otherness generally.
