Travel Sketches is a series of 120 small travel drawings. They are random shots from the artist's several journeys. They include moments of joy and things, which catch the artist's gaze. At the same time, they can be seen as documents or alternatively as down sifting. Instead of taking a snap shot by a camera, you just sit down and make a drawing. There are also situations, where photographing would have not been allowed: meeting Kurdish guerilla soldiers, visiting nearby military areas or some museums ...or just people's fear or unwillingness of being photographed.
